why did the Japanese bomb pearl harbor?
The three websites that I used were:
1. Pear Harbor History: Why did Japan attack?
This is a credible website because it has working hyperlinks and uses references from places like the wall street journal. Plus it is a whole website dedicated to Pearl Harbor.

The first website has a list of questions that they then answer. It explains what happened before the attack. It explained that before the U.S. had placed an embargo on Japan meaning that they prohibited exports of steel, scrap iron, and aviation fuel. The website also explained the warnings the U.S. got before the attack as well and how Japan had broken diplomatic code. Then it went into the attack. It explained that the first wave Japanese airlines had left six aircraft carriers and then struck Pearl Harbor. Then it explained more numbers/amounts of the event.
The second website explained more of what the Japanese were thinking about the attack. Their thought process. It also explained how the U.S. had been rearming since the 1930's. It also had given some headlines as to what was going on in America at the time.
The third website had explained how the U.S. was fueling Japan's aggression. Also, saying how Japan had just signed a nonaggression pact with Stalin just before the attack on Pearl Harbor. The website also explained how the U.S. and Japan had been negotiating since 1941. However, the U.S. had a hidden advantage. The U.S. had a radio transmitter that allowed them to decipher Japan's radio transmitter. Then it went into how American newspaper headlines had been so focused on what was happening in Europe that they were taken back from the attack.
